Found a really cool hood for the Comanche. It is based on the JK 10th anniversary hood. I think it will look awesome. In addition the paint color I decided to use is Corvette Sebring Orange. Saw it on a Corvette at Huffines. Incredible color. Should make a statement lol.

So I got the chassis bedlined using U-Pol Raptor. It is a great product. Decided to go with a 4.8 LS conversion, with an LS1 intake and the AX15. Going to use the Novak conversions adaptors, mounts and headers. The supercharger route is too challenging from a tuning perspective with the ODB1 PCM. I also have a noise from my current Mopar stroker which I fear is the dreaded no 6 lifter issue. In for a penny in for a pound!!

Floors are fixed. Changed the paint slightly. Now going with Corvette Inferno Orange. Much easier to lay down and repair. The Sebring Orange was a tricoat which is really tricky. Also decided to sell the 2006 LJ. I simply don't use it enough. With the Comanche project it is just taking up space. And it will fund the LS!! I also picked up another dash pad that is is great shape. Going to get it re covered, but compared to the original it is going to be a much easier restore. Next on the list is paint. Then building up the LS. Going with the Gen III 4.8, non electronic throttle, because it is easier to cool. Can make decent power. Aiming for about 300hp. Much more than than and the AX15 and D44 won't survive. Working on the harness. Got a brand new NOS jeep harness, just need to merge it with a standalone LS car harness. Stock PS pump, Corvette fuel regulator, stock fuel pump. Accessory relocate for the AC. Factory style Aluminum radiator with 2 OEM fans LHD and RHD. Novak does an adaptor that allows the use of the GM Bellhousing. Also adapts the clutch so I can use the factory clutch master cylinder.

So she is almost ready for paint, just have to finish the hood, which is proving to be quite the challenge. Hope to get paint on in the next 2 - 3 weeks. Going to start on the custom LS harness in the next couple of weeks. I have and old NOS jeep harness so I am going to use the Jeep PDC and wire in the LS injectors, sensors and PCM into that harness. This way the harness will look pretty close to factory. Not going to keep the Jeep PCM. EFI Connection is a great source for all the connectors for the build. Once that is done I will source a long block L33 and start the engine build. (Decided against the 4.8) Going Aluminum 5.3!!
