Here is some everyday ordinary wrenching, cheap stuff.
When changing automatic transmission fluid, it’s pretty easy to get it all over the place when dropping the pan, even with a big oil drain pan.
I picked up a mason pan from home depot for a couple bucks and it works great. its very big and caught all the fluid.
After the first change on any of my auto transmissions, I always add one of these.
You can just use it as a drain plug, and you can thread a sending unit into it for a trans temp gauge. (heat is the #1 killer of auto tranys)
And while working on the floor, since my old knees can’t take it any more, I have used one of these for years. They are knee pads for gardeners, and I think they sell them in auto part stores now too. They are cheap and I keep a few around my garage. I burn them all the time with grinder and welder sparks and they haven’t caught one on fire yet, so they are reasonably safe IMHO.

Harbor Frieght / SWAG off road hydro assist bender
I have a JD2 Model 3 tubing bender. I was tired of "rowing" it to bend 1.75 x .120 wall tubing. I wanted air over hydraulic.
I saw a 18" ram at harbor freight for $50.00 and got it. I was looking into how to mount it when I found SWAG Off Road made a mount.
Total was $150.00. No more manual bending! Great product from SWAG (its the green part)

Mac's Pivot Plate is an articulated engine lift plate that pivots the weight of the engine, tilting it and an attached trans up to 35 degrees. If you've used one, you know how much this tool helps with removal and installation of engines. The Pivot Plate is drilled to accept most common two and four-barrel carb mounts. Various adapters are available for a wide range of applications. The Pivot Plate is made here in the USA from top-quality products.

The GEARSAFE
The GEARSAFE Spare Tire Toolbox is pretty cool, even if I did invent it. We've designed a bracket that makes it fit your JK tailgate in the place of your factory spare tire bracket. It allows you to run a larger spare with the factory bumper if you so choose.
There's The GEARSAFE which comes ready for you to load with whatever you want.
The GEARSAFE Recovery (complete with a full line of Recovery Gear from Bubba Rope,
The GEARSAFE Emergency (complete with a full supply of Emergency and Roadside assistance gear.
The GEARSAFE Airbox is coming soon. It will include an onboard air compressor, air hose, tire repair kit, etc.
We are considering The GEARSAFE Cooler. Fill it full of ice an drinks and you'll be set for a day of wheeling with cold refreshments out of the cargo area and out of the way!
Just thought I'd say it again!
We've got them for JK tailgates to bolt right on as a DIY package.
or a custom mount for most any swing away tire carrier...
They even work on that trailer you have!
Get yours before Mopar buys it and raises the price!Comment

If you'd like, bring your Jeep by and let me look it over.. or send me a pic of your swing away. I am most certain that we could make it work very nicely and since its another GS sale, I'll make you a great deal!

This brings up a good point... if you have a swing away on your bumper, that does not prevent you from utilizing one. In some cases we build custom swing aways and in others we simply modify what you have. I've not yet found one that couldn't be modified to accept The GEARSAFE.

Where the tire mount mounts to the swing gate it would need to be cutout and the lockbox itself would need to have the studs to mount the tire to it. Adding a couple gussets wouldn't hurt either after that.
Unfortunately, for right now, I am more maintaining the Jeep than modifying it. ThanksComment
