Like the buttface on the front. For strength and clearance the Crane high clearance wins hands down I think.

Haha! So baertrax has one vote, as does the crane cover. I mainly want to get something that is affordable, but a good product as well. It's hard to find that combo... but I'm tryin.

I think 1/4" would put me more at ease.

man i dont think you will bend 3/16. the poison spyder crusher corners are 3/16th. most rocker guards are 3/16th. Aftermarket tcase skids are 3/16th

True, but I'm gunna go ahead and try to find something with 1/4", even my skid plates. I've found a tcase skid and gas tank skid at that thickness, so I'm good to go there. Rockers are gunna be 2x4 tubing connected to the frame.

If you want cheap, just weld a 1/4" plate on the ring gear portion of the front of the stock thick spicer unit. I have bashed rocks with mine and it holds up fine.

Also, I think my bashing of rocks is a little more harsh than some people realize is possible.

If you want cool and stout, call Russ at BaerTrax.

                        I love my Buttface!

I have seen rocks cracked from them, they make great ramps, they protect your tierod, they are HEAVY DUTY!

I think it's the best way to go for a front....

Buttface - absolutely. Rocks in Clayton are no match for this fine product. JoJo's Yoyo will never be the same thanks to my TJ's crashlanding on a fine rock - split it right in halt. And Buttface protects steering components, too!
