I have upgraded sway bars and coilovers also. The biggest issue is under hood air pressures. At 120+ my hood is straining at the aero-latches trying to lift.

It's been fun but I think I'm almost finished playing with it. I'm wanting something to go play on the airstrips and 1 miles runs. I just don't want to rice it up to make it stable over 140. By 160 its pretty nerve racking feeling like it'll lift off any moment. I'm going to need 180+ stability to play with the guys I'm eyeballing. I'm feeling a twin turbo LS3 Cayman S might be next. (as I look over at my wife's car parked next to the Miata....) I'm no purist for any car. I think they all need LS swaps! :)

I've always had a curious interest in AX but I don't see the 30 second runs giving me that thrill I want. The drag strip was fun, but I'm meh about doing it again. ...except of course for the Jeep Drags we're planning. That should be stupid fun!

Nice thread. My buddy Shack said come on here and check out the Miata and I might have some competition. Yeahhhhh no, I don't think I can hang with that. I figured it was a LS conversion. I have built my 13 Club for Autocross but hopefully my next dyno will be 275 to the wheels with the ole 2.0. It has been a long process but I am finally back to driving it and tuning. There is a black NC rolling around San Marcus that is a monster with a 2.5 turbo at 350 or so to the wheels. He just ditched the set up he had for a 2.5 with a supercharger. Should be interesting. There was a 425 HP 2.0 rolling around that ventilated the block not long ago. I never got to see the quarter mile times though.

I need to get this wrapped up so I can start the hunt for my next M715.

Played around with the ratchet shift B&M with the transmission in manual mode (love this standalone trans 'puter). If I can keep it the lane* I might have something for you Dana. ;) I was pretty impressed it would chirp 2nd with 10#'s of air in 37" blue labels. :)

*thinking strapping the front down will prevent the sideways jump that occurs during each shift...

Michael, that is a great idea.

For those that are interested, let's make this happen. We won't be fast but it'll be a LOT of fun.
