Hmmm… this looks like it would be pretty fun, maybe we can get a good group together.

Myrtle tried to get a group to go to TMS a while back. Maybe we could get there this year.

Took on a C7Z06 this weekend from a roll. If I can repeat the performance from a dig it'll be pretty darn cool. Gotta get a helmet this week... :)

The Lightning lives for the race from a dig. But your hp to wt ratio is too much for the L to overcome.

Curious how it'll hook on the track. On some surfaces I'm getting some nasty wheel hop that I didn't have with the other tires. Leaving out of 2nd helps, but it'll mean making it up on the big end. Plus I no experience leaving off a light. It'll be completely new to me.

Sorry, Michael. Am likely going but am thinking the traction will be very poor. Rain, then likely cool temps won't make for fast times.. I just don't want to spin my tires all the way down the track and waste time and money.

If its wet/raining I will not be going. More than 30% chance I will not be going. I have no interest in killing the car or myself.

This is "next" Friday, the tropical storm will be gone by then and summer will resume on schedule.
                        Is 70s temps too low?

It's a funny balance. While the truck loves cool temps for the engine, but the tires like it a bit warmer. I have run 13.1 in the 90s but think I can get into the high 12s w hi 70s, low 80s and a good track. Michael will run circles around my old pickup in his Miata but those times of mine aren't bad for an old pickup truck. I haven't had it to the track in a long time, so it's a good time to make a pass or two.

The car is capable of 12's on paper. The driver is a big unknown. You may just drag me from end to end.

Not likely. You have way too much wt to hp advantage on my heavy, fat 5000 lb pickup truck. [emoji3][emoji3]

I also have tiny (23X8.75) street tires and no experience. But I do watch street outlaws so helps. ;)

According to this site it should be running mid 10's at 130mph. I expect realistic traps speeds in the low 120's and know that similar cars are not getting anywhere near those ET's with much more experienced drivers. The site assumes too many variables.

Or I could be a sand bagging sob.... ;)
