There are no baffles in the gas tank. That is someone blowing smoke. I have a gas tank that would work for you that i will give you if you think you need a different tank.

ah...I had forgotten about that one. Still can't believe they had run the front diff vent into the cab.

X2 What code is it throwing? With the age of the vehicle and the newer ethanol fuels there is a good chance of some bad vent and vacuum lines for the emissions system. Only hard part of this fix is dropping the tank to acces the vent lines.

My 98 TJ used to spit out fuel, I replaced the filler hose and that resolved the problem. I also had an issue with the cap not making a good seal and posting a CEL code. Replaced the cap. Then I melted the tank, don't do that. :Cry:
