CJ7 - AMC V8 - mechanic in Dallas?

I have an 85 CJ7 with the AMC (304) V8 in it and I'm looking for a mechanic that can help me with the "work in progress". I live near 75 and Mockingbird and was looking for some suggestions for someone that could be a go-to for inspections/repairs/upgrades.

Where specifically are you? I live at Mockignbird and Skillman and Rock Candy is a couple of blocks southeast of me at roughly Mockingbird and Abrams.

For inspections, I have had good luck with the RAM gas station at Mockingbird and Skillman.

Across the street from the arboretum is a little place called White Rock Garage. It has been there since the 50's. The owner is the brother of a black sheep. He does good work on the old stuff. Only thing is you may not want to go there if you are a Democrat.

I live off Greenville, near the Granada Theater...

actually got my inspection at RAM...too funny. I'll have to check out Rock Candy. I'm looking to do some of the work myself, but my expertise (if you can call it that) is minimal.

Perhaps I'll see you at the next drive-in in our area... let me know.
