I know, I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is why I should I pay more for this Engel if it has a honda at it's core. Is it any better than a honda - that's what I'm asking.

**** they are expensive generators. What I want to know is are they just a rebadged honda? Or do they actually have some quality improvements, or differences?

@ Jeepkevin: Ha! I'm not even sure how else to respond as that was classic!

@x2elite: Now that sounds like a great idea!

Why didn't I think of this sooner!! In less than a year I will have a toddler, and we all know how much energy toddler's have. A toddler wheel/generator/accessory charger, talking about killing several birds with one stone. Thanks for the idea! :notworthy:

I decided on a renewable, green energy source, marriage. I say, "Hey babe, help me set up this tent", tent done. "Hey babe, can you help me start dinner?", dinner ready. "Hey babe, can you hand me a beer?", she says, "Get it your self!! You got two legs!!", so I'm still working on that one. Maybe a hamsterball with a coozy/trailer attachemnt? I'm kinda afraid of a generator or large battery or for that matter anything that could in anyway cause bodily injury. One day I fear that during a little cat nap, I will wake up with these items being thrown at me, or on top of me, or just gone because she left me at some camp ground that I told her was really nice and cozy and clean. Maybe I should just take the hampster camping instead of the wife? Things to think about I guess.

Yeah, there are a number of good options out there including yours. Some people use solar panels, others batteries, etc. Either way, this particular option is a good one but not any better/worse than others out there.

With that said, what do y'all use in general? Generators? Solar? Battery setup? Hamster spinning a wheel?

Thought y'all might find this product review interesting. The generator is made by Engel (known for their fridge/freezers for Jeep and off-highway vehicles). It's a very nice product and one many of us can definitely use to power our stuff up after a day of wheeling:
